Chicken garden figurine, photographed with the newly cleaned Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4 vintage lens and Canon 7D camera. This shot was taken early afternoon, on a partly cloudy day. I do love the colors this lens makes. And this lens is sharp!

Downtown Campbell held its first annual Campbell Car Show on July 8th, from 9am to 3pm.
On July 1st, Elizabeth Morrison, Meetha Kamath and I took a trip up to Filoli House and Gardens for some flower photography. Filoli is a massive estate, with a 54,000 square foot Georgian revival mansion, sitting on 654 acres of gardens, orchards, and natural lands. The estate is located up in Woodside. Elizabeth and I have never been to Filoli, Meetha has been there once, so we had to check it out.

Welcome to another episode of Saturday Shootout. This shootout involves a battle between the Canon 80D DSLR camera and the Fuji X-T2 mirrorless camera--each using their own 18-55mm standard lenses.
We are back with a Saturday Shootout! I'm comparing the Nifty Fifties--The Canon EF 50mm f1.8 lens verses the Cosina M42-mount 50mm f1.8 lens. Both lenses are shooting on Canon 40D cameras. The images were taken on March 11--12th.
